We have found that they have fielded a very strong, knowledgeable and effective team to work with us, use our data and understand our business in order to produce a demand and capacity prediction for the coming months.

They have kept us updated throughout the process, answered all manner of queries willingly and speedily, worked with clinicians to ensure full engagement and presented to as many different teams as we requested. The outcome of this piece of work with CapPlan is a 'prediction' of our likely demand, the impact this has on our bed base and set of scenarios that demonstrate the positive impact of changes that could be implemented. In addition to this there are some financial saving estimates attached form appropriately matching resource to demand.

The way the data and report has been presented has been extremely powerful and very well received by clinicians, managers and executives alike. The Trust, based on this work, anticipate being able to manage the winter pressures this year with increased confidence despite being shown that changes must be implemented in order to meet the predicted demand within the current bed base.
