CapPlan Forum 2010 Review

28 July 2010

The Capacity Challenge

The 2010 CapPlan Forum proved to be a great success with 60 people in attendance from many organisations in New Zealand, Australia, UK, Canada & USA. This year’s event was hosted in Christchurch, New Zealand at the Hotel Novotel, Cathedral Square which provided a wonderful atmosphere for the two days.

Presentations were given on a range of current health care challenges and refreshing out-of-industry perspectives. The workshops held proved very popular and based on feedback we will have even more of these next year, if not sooner.

Much fun was had at the event, with the Wii being played during the breaks and a beautiful dinner held at the Sign of The Takahe on the Thursday night. This was an excellent opportunity for the delegates to mingle and network, a valuable component of any event. Also enjoyed were the interactive sessions such as Justin’s juggling exercise! I bet some of you are still practising; we would love to hear of your progress.

Overall the feedback has been overwhelming positive. In any event with a range of roles in attendance it can be a challenge to provide a balance of material to suit yet we seem to have struck a good mix as everyone said they obtained value from the forum and 100% say you’ll come again.

So we’ll being seeing you all at next The Capacity Challenge!
